Flying Sessions

indoor_001 Indoor Flying - Cancelled

Unfortunately due to the ever increasing costs of Hall Rental we are no longer willing or able to sustain regular indoor flying sessions.  With hourly rates at Milburn Academy having increased in excess of 300% in just over 2 years I am sure you will understand.

We will continue to look out for alternative locations which are more fairly priced and where we aren't facing such heavy increases every few months...and where we don't get hit with back dated bills for increases we were not informed about.

Outdoor FlyingOutdoor Flying - Going Strong and Growing

Inverness RC Flyers started off not so many years ago as 3 guys desperately looking for places to fly on a weekend and they have had many homes in that time.  Recently we have been very lucky to have use of a more permanent site and the number of participants is witnessing a healthy growth.

Dialogue has recently started with the owner of the field about the possibility of us getting a more formal agreement in place which is to everyones benefit and we'll keep you up to date with news on that as and when we have it.

People are welcome regardless of ability and even if you are totally new to aeromodelling and flying we are happy to provide advice, guidance and instruction.  Especially useful for those who receive planes and/or helicopters as presents and don't know where to start.

Whilst we prefer people have their own equipment, we can arrange for you to have a try before you commit to spending money on the sport.  We can only offer this for fixed wing models (planes) and we use a "Buddy Box" system to maintain a safe, but enjoyable, first flight experience.

The hobby can be as cheap or as expensive as you want to make it and our guys (no ladies yet) fly everything from the cheaper foam models to large scale hand built models.
